The Alcatel TMAX 70 XL Comfort corded phone is built for people who want calling to feel simple again. It’s a full-size home phone with big buttons, a large clear screen and practical extras that make day-to-day calls easier for seniors, low-vision users and busy families. You get a proper desk phone that’s straightforward to use, without menus getting in the way of just picking up and talking.
The extra-large keypad uses big, high-contrast keys with widely spaced digits, so dialling feels calmer and more accurate, even if your eyesight or dexterity isn’t what it used to be. The large alphanumerical display shows names and numbers in big, sharp characters with strong contrast, making it easier to read caller ID, menus and dialled numbers at a glance. Six one-touch memory keys sit on the front, so favourite contacts can be called with a single press; three of them have writable labels to add a name or note. A 99-entry phone book holds the rest of your regular numbers.
For hearing comfort, TMAX 70 includes a dedicated Audio Boost key on the side of the handset. Press it during a call to raise the earpiece volume by up to around +30 dB, helping conversations feel clearer without constantly tweaking settings. The ringer is powerful too, reaching up to about 80 dB with adjustable levels, plus a bright ringer indicator so incoming calls are harder to miss. The phone is also hearing-aid compatible.
A built-in call blocking feature gives you some peace from nuisance calls. In manual mode you can block numbers one by one; in automatic mode only stored or VIP contacts are allowed to ring through. The line-powered design means no separate power supply or batteries are needed: plug the supplied line cord into your phone socket or modem’s phone port and it’s ready.
